The National Museum of Kazakhstan opened an exhibition of Honored Art Worker of Kazakhstan Yerbolat Tolepbay, expo2017culture.kz correspondent reports.

The author presented more than 60 works, dedicating them to the memory of his mother - Uldar-apa.

Titling the exhibition “Five Days”, Yerbolat Tolepbai emphasized that it is a dedication to the 100th anniversary of his mother.

“Shortly before my mother passed away at the age of 85, I asked her: “Mom, has your life gone by quickly?”. Mom replied, “Balam, my life went by like five days. On the first day I remember myself as a girl, on the second day I got married, on the third day I gave birth. Afterward, on my fourth day, I remember myself as a mature woman. And now my fifth day has come, when I answer this question to you”, - said the artist.
The exhibition presents more than 60 works executed by the artist in his characteristic painterly manner, where color is akin to emotions and feelings and colorful mosaic is literally transformed into a narrative.

The main heroine of Yerbolat Tolepbai's paintings is a woman, her fate in all its hypostasis: mother, sister, wife, daughter. The artist glorifies in his paintings the sacral image of a woman, which in its essence always remains creative.

Yerbolat Tulepbai is a member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan, academician of the Academy of Arts of Russia, Czech Republic, Kyrgyzstan. Works of the artist are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, museums of the Russian Federation, the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the State Museum of Arts named after A. Kasteev, regional museums of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as in private collections of Kazakhstan, CIS, Europe, USA and Asia.

The exhibition aroused great interest y fans of the artist - among them not only ordinary Kazakhs, but also members of the government of Kazakhstan.
Yerbolat Tolepbai was congratulated today by the Minister of Culture and Sports Arystanbek Mukhamediuly, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kairat Abdrakhmanov, as well as members of the Majilis and Senate.

Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan Arystanbek Mukhamediuly at the opening of the exhibition emphasized that Yerbolat Tolepbai “is one of the most important contemporary artists of Kazakhstan, whose work is widely known both in the country and far beyond its borders.”

“In his works, the artist combines European and Asian manner of execution with the preservation of the national Kazakh color, the works of Yerbolat Tolepbai are not just distinguished by the brightness and depth of colors - they give an idea of the different stages of history and spiritual development of our people,” - said Arystanbek Mukhamediuly.

“The triptych “Mangilik el”, located in the atrium of the Museum, attracts special attention of the guests of the exhibition. I will note that in his works the artist combines European and Asian manner of execution with preservation of national Kazakh coloring, the works of Yerbolat Tolepbai are not just distinguished by brightness and depth of colors - they give an idea about different stages of history and spiritual development of our people”, - the Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan stressed.

“I am sure that the works of our master will be liked by visitors and guests of the National Museum and will give everyone the highest aesthetic pleasure”, - summarized Arystanbek Mukhamediuly.

In an interview with expo2017culture.kz the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kairat Abdrakhmanov also praised the artist's work.
“It is a great honor for me to be acquainted with Maestro Yerbolat Tolepbay. And not just to be acquainted, but to be a close friend, we are united by spiritual kinship. I can not be happy with this vernissage and this exhibition, because our public, our grateful viewers have not had the opportunity to see such a riot of colors, imagination and art for a long time,” - said the head of the Foreign Ministry.

Kairat Abdrakhmanov added that being the Ambassador of Kazakhstan abroad, and in particular, in Austria, he organized exhibitions of Yerbolat Tolepbai, for example, in Vienna”.
“And I can assure you that this kind of our national art is very much in demand on foreign platforms. And this is exactly what the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev is calling for today - to modernize our consciousness and to give the best representatives of intellectuals, in particular, the artistic intelligentsia, the opportunity to reach a wide international audience,” - said the head of the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan.
