On the adoption of the declaration of sovereignty of the Kazakh SSR
On the adoption of the declaration of sovereignty of the Kazakh SSR. 16.12.1991
In the period from June 6 to July 10, 2017, the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan plans to hold a personal exhibition of the Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, winner of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerbolat Tolembai.
The exhibition will present art works by E. Tolepbai, made in different periods of his creativity.
The purpose of the exhibition: popularization of modern Kazakhstani fine arts.
The peculiar style of E. Tolepbai continues the line of French post-impressionists. Bright colors, simple but expressive forms, plasticity of expressive images bring to memory the experiments of Matisse and Kandinsky. At the same time, the artist's paintings retain the national coloring, harmoniously combining European and Asian worldviews.
The ambiguous, philosophical and sometimes tragic context of his works emerges through the development of traditional themes. Land and people of Kazakhstan, steppe and city, past and present, love for man and responsibility for his land - these issues are the main themes of the artist's works.
Works of the artist are kept in private and museum collections of Kazakhstan, CIS countries, Europe, America and Asia. E. Tolepbai's paintings are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, other state museums of the Russian Federation. They are also represented in the expositions and collections of the A. Kasteev State Museum of Art (Almaty), regional museums and private collections.
