Yerbolat Tolepbai's personal exhibition opened in the capital city

In the Presidential Culture Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan opened an exhibition of the famous Kazakh artist Yerbolat Tolepbai.

As noted by the organizers of the exposition, personal exhibitions E. Tolepbai in his native Kazakhstan has not arranged more than 15 years. And although this year in the capital has already held one of his exhibition, in the museum of Kazakhstan at such a level as the Presidential Culture Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan - this will be the first exhibition of works of the artist for many years.

In an interview with journalists, director of the Presidential Culture Center of Kazakhstan Myrzatay Zholdasbekov reported interesting facts about the work and life of the artist. It turned out that Yerbolat Tolepbai is the only Kazakh artist who held a personal exhibition in the Tretyakov Gallery. His paintings are now admired by the sophisticated public of the best museums in France, Italy, Germany, India, China, Egypt and Russia.

“At one time mankind did not recognize during his lifetime Pablo Picasso, Diego Velasquez, Salvador Dali, and yesterday I read in the newspaper: one of the significant paintings of Pablo Picasso was sold at auction for 106 million 482 thousand dollars. I think that in the near future there will be the same demand for Yerbolat's paintings,” said M. Zholdasbekov.

According to the artist, at the exposition he presented paintings from his personal collection, painted by him over the past 5 years. When asked by journalists why E. Tolepbai did not exhibit his paintings in his homeland for so long, the artist replied that he was oriented to the West.

“There was no political background in the fact that I did not exhibit paintings in Kazakhstan for so long. In my creative quest I was oriented to the West, I wanted the world to know about our professional art, that we have good artists and a special culture”, - said E. Tolepbai.

The exhibition will last until June 18.
